The Coffee
Coffee, wine, whiskey and rum are the finer things in life. At Cask’d™ Coffee we exclusively develop fanciful flavor profiles that marry exceptional coffee beans with highly rated wine, whiskey or rum that create a cup like you have never experienced before. Crafted by a team that has experience in all these worlds, we said for years that the flavors of small-batch roasted coffee are the same that we love in our wine and spirits. Fresh berry and grape. Mature oak and tannins. Smooth caramel and toffee. Our own proprietary process combines a great cup with a great glass into one enjoyable experience.
Our Process
Our Cask’d Bourbon Infused Coffee is made from medium roasted top-grade Brazilian Arabica beans, blended with authentic bourbon whiskey aged in new American oak barrels in Kentucky. The coffee has tastes of vanilla, caramel, and a hint of milk chocolate turned sweet and syrup-rich by the Kentucky bourbon. Our signature blend is roasted at medium level to preserve the oak-aged, rich flavor of bourbon whiskey. This ensures every cup delivers the best of both the beans and liquor.
Our Cask’d Vintner’s Reserve Red Wine uses the finest Brazilian coffee beans to make our wine-infused blend. These are small-batch roasted to a perfect medium for that excellent balance of flavors. This fruity and smooth combination of flavor offers tasting notes of blueberry and blackberry. And of course, you’ll also get lots of cabernet flavors for a cup of joe that’s smooth on the finish.
Our Cask’d Artisanal Rum Infused Coffee has a blend of flavor like no other. Our roaster scoured the Caribbean for the best dark rum that would complement our coffee. It has the ideal balance of the caffeine with the spirit’s own tasting notes. The beans’ direct contact with the spirit results in a smooth and syrupy taste with notes of brown sugar and molasses. Our infused rum coffee comes in a fantastic medium roast. This preserves the taste of the dark rum while also highlighting the naturally strong flavors of our whole coffee beans.

Karen Weckerly, Founder and CEO of Cask’d by COROCO Coffee Roaster Collective, had an unconventional start in coffee. Trained as a professional violinist from the age of two, she performed and taught professionally for a number of years. Happily married to Ryan for 20+ years and as a mother of two energetic (and busy!) elementary-aged children, she hung up her violin for a couple of years to focus on family time.
With varied talents and interests, the question of what the “next chapter” would be for Karen’s career looked like an eclectic assortment of music, meteorology, travel, cooking, fashion, martial arts and an odd fascination with grammar. When the opportunity to learn about roasting coffee came along, it appeared to check at least one box nicely.
After some initial intimidation working with the industrial equipment passed, it turned out roasting coffee checked more boxes than simply cooking. Many people have heard of the “Mozart Effect” that music has on the brain, and how music and math are inseparably intertwined in the mind of a musician. Making calculations on the fly while roasting coffee is no different, and no less engaging. Adding energy at the right moment in time to achieve the desired effect, not much different than performing a musical phrase. The Interlude Coffee brand is a nod to Karen’s musical background, and the many brands produced at COROCO Coffee Roaster Collective allow her to express her creativity with both roasting and design.
